damage1British R’n’B boyband Damage have renunited and are planning live performances of their hit singles this year.

The music band received a huge fan calling via Facebook, with hundreds of messages urging for the five singers to reunite, after the group originally split up in 2001.

Damage shot up in the urban music scene during the mid-1990s with eleven hit singles such as Ghetto Romance, capitalising alongside Mark Morrison’s classic ‘Return of the Mack’. Since 1996, they had produced two albums “Forever” and “Since You’ve Been Gone”, with four Top Ten singles in the UK single chart.

Damage member Jade Jones, and boyfriend of Spice Girl Emma Bunton, spoke about the renunion: “It’s great to be back together. It’ll be nice now for our kids to see what daddy used to do back in the day and it’s nice to get back out on the road.”

Other British boybands among the renunion list are Blue, Boyzone and Take That.

You can catch Damage performing live at Party in the Park in Leeds on 25th July 2010.
