RPARIS1webAustralia’s Alexandra Spencer is no newcomer to the world of fashion; taking her first foot steps as a successful model representing international brands then making a natural progression into fashion blogging and designing.

She has already featured in the likes of Vogue and Grazia, with her fashion know how she is best known for her infamous “4th and Bleeker” fashion blog. This edgy beauty is bursting onto the scene with her cheeky DIY fashion ideas and witty throwbacks on all things hip. Flavour’s beauty editor Lea James chats to the stunning model/blogger to talk fashion, inspiration and beauty.

Tell me your reason behind your blog and when did it all start?
I started it last May out of boredom really! I was google-ing “100 Things to do When You’re Bored” and it came down to starting a blog or practicing origami – having attempted the latter in school, I thought blogging was more me!! I’m so glad I did, as it’s such a great creative outlet. I love all aspects of it: from taking photos, to making clothes, and most of all, writing about it.

Which fashion brand would you most like to represent and is there an up and coming designer we should look out for?
I think Versace would be fun for pseudo Italian chic!

Which fashion item would you team up with the new greige nail trend?
My new Chloe suit.

If you were to wear this seasons vibrant paint box lip shade which would it be and why?
Any colour but red! My mouth is a little too big for that shade so I end up looking like Amanda Lepore, which is never a good thing for a young girl. That being said, I don’t mind a little orange!

Which make-up product would you be lost without?
I think I spend about 10 hours in a make-up chair each week so by the time I’m home and finished work all I want to do is wash my face! But my favourite thing to use is mineral makeup by Bare ID – it’s airbrushing in a teeny tiny tub.

Which catwalk look do you think we will see the most this season on the high street?
Well I think the last big one was bleached brows so maybe we’ll all be dying them back to our natural shades after realizing we don’t all have Lara Stone’s bone structure! Take note of the Chloe, Isabel Marant and Balmain girls – nobody does perfect like the French!

Tell me a little about your beauty regime for staying fresh faced?
I use Dermalogica products and get facials once a month. I also use a body brush every day, which is the greatest thing I’ve ever discovered!

Do you have a health must have?
Water… but who on earth has the time to drink 2 and ½ liters a day? A multi vitamin is always good too.

Which hair product is your “must have it, can’t live without it”?
My hairdresser! I see her once a week and she takes care of it for me.

Where would you like to see your self in 5 years, and what should we look out for your next move?
You’ll have to wait and see! But I can tell you there are heaps of big things coming up on the blog!
