From Sydney, Australia, to the gritty streets of Crown Heights in New York City, MC Sam Hunter links up with NYC underground rapper Ruste Juxx on a new single ‘Get Acquitted.’

The single is straight-up boom bap meets Australian hip hop, with some classic golden era beats and undeniable lyrical talent.

A long time avid lover of late MC Sean Price, Sam was fixated on Sean’s protege  NYC rapper Ruste Juxx, who is also signed to Duck Down Records.

So without hesitation, Sam hit up Ruste Juxx on social media platform Instagram expressing interest on working with the rapper. Fast-forward a few months later and that is how ‘Get Acquitted’ was born.

On the collaboration Sam says, “A collaboration of this caliber is exciting to say the least. Showcasing my writing ability next to Ruste’s on a classic beat really highlights how far I’ve come in this industry,”

“The feedback from hip hop heads who’m, received this as a sneak peek was nuts!” he said.

If I’m not writing or listening to music my favourite past-time would be napping. Sometimes people find me eating dumplings, lurking at gigs, or stalking musicians to get some information from them. I mean interviewing them. I survived living in London during the winter (twice) and now I am back down-under in Sydney faffing by the beach and dreaming of London.
