The month of June 2014 brings you Punch’s annual leading festival, BASS! This years #BASS14 presents ‘MADE IN BRITAIN’ showcasing some of the UK’s best and exceptional musical and artistic talent across all art forms and in different venues over Birmingham to bring together diverse audiences.

RENOWNED PRESENTS

BASS14 in partnership with the entertainment company Renowned, deliver exclusive workshops. Housing some of the big names from the music and entertainment industry including the likes of Jacob Banks, Wretch 32, George the Poet, Funny Tummy and Knox Brown. Gain insight into what it takes and enjoy music from some of Renowned’s household names including the singer songwriter and first ever unsigned act to appear on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, Jacob Banks.

BASS INFORMS

BASS Informs will be a day of back to back panel discussions comprising of leading industry panellists from across the UK with a range of expertise including Instagram! This is a great opportunity for young artists and professionals to hear from some of the best in the business and learn how to get ahead. So don’t miss out on this exclusive one off event which could make a real impact on your music career!

GRIME UNPLUGGED

Grime Unplugged celebrates the versatility of some of Grime’s biggest and best artists – look out for performances from GHETTS, (who has recently had success with his album Rebel With A Cause), Manchester’s BLIZZARD, PROSE and EYEZ representing The Midlands.
Expect the unexpected with these special one off performances.

BASS (British Arts and Street Sounds) is the UK’s only month long celebration of Black Music and Arts. Every June, the UK comes alive with a phenomenal line up of events, new commissions, gigs, exhibitions, master classes, showcases, club nights, theatre, conferences and film.

Now in it’s ninth year BASS has established itself as one of the UK’s most innovative boutique festivals, with an annual theme running throughout the events. BASS has been a continuous celebration of urban creativity and culture, and still remains as the only Black Music and Arts festival that commissions new work every year.
