Did you know that the human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on your size? And that your tissues and organs are mainly made up of water? For example the brain is actually 90% water, and muscle is 75%. Every cell in your body needs water, which why it is so important to drink enough fluid.

So listed below are 10 benefits of drinking water.

Lose weight: Drinking water helps you lose weight as it flushes down by-products of fat breakdown. It is an effective appetite suppressant so you’ll eat less. And it has zero calories.

Natural headache remedy: Helps to relieve headache and due to dehydration. Yes I know that there are many reasons to get a headache but often dehydration is the common one.

Look Younger with Healthier Skin: When your skin is properly hydrated you will look younger. Water helps to replenish skin tissues, and moisturise skin.

Better Productivity at Work: As mentioned earlier, the brain is mostly made up of water. Drinking water makes you more alert and concentrate more easily.

Better Exercise: Drinking water regulates your body temperature. This basically means you’ll feel more energetic when exercising. Water also helps to fuel your muscle.

Helps with Digestion: Drinking water raises your metabolism because it helps digestion. Fibre and water go hand in hand so that you can go to the toilet more easily.

Less Cramps and Sprains: Staying well hydrated will help keep your joints and muscles lubricated, so you are less likely to suffer with cramps and sprains.

Less Likely to get ill: Drinking plenty of water can help fight against colds, flu and other ailments such as kidney stones. Drinking water with a squeeze lemon is used to help with various problems, for example respiratory disease, intestinal problems, and arthritis. Basically one of the benefits of drinking water is that it can improve your immune system.

Relieves Fatigue: Water is used by the body to help flush out toxins and waste products. If your body is lacking water, your heart will need to work harder to pump out oxygenated blood to your cells, Your organs will be exhausted as a result, and so will you.

Reduce the Risk of Cancer: There have been studies to show that drinking a healthy amount of water may reduce the risks of bladder cancer and colon cancer. Water dilutes the concentration of cancer-causing agents in urine, and can shorten the time in which they are in contact with the lining of the bladder.
