Breaking the Ice @ Piya Piya – June 3

Always sticking the proverbial two fingers up at traditional Karaoke – this is the real deal. Fresh, fun and innovative there really isn’t another night like this on the London social scene.
BTI is RnB and HipHop karaoke, and your chance to unleash the rap star or soul diva within, as you never have before. We don’t care if you sound like a deranged Mariah Carey or a tired Lil Wayne…its all about having fun!
Your hosts Annika and Natalie as always will guide you through the night letting you know what to do and how to do it.
This is the ideal event for an after work jam or a night out with a difference where you can choose your pace -come, watch, sit back and enjoy or come, get on stage, sing, rap, dance and enjoy the adulation and applause from the crowd!
Either way, it will be a memorable night – just ask those who keep coming back again and again!
Or you can ask the numerous famous faces that have randomly pasted through since our beginnings, including Nate James, Olympic Team GB, Daniel Bedingfield, and Big Brother celebs!
Our brilliant resident DJ’s Resident DJs ASHINEL, DJ COZIE and DJ CHEF will help round the night off with some of the hottest beats around that never fail to get the crowd moving.
The only thing that’s changed for this month is the venue otherwise it is still the same fun and fabulous night of music, dance and most importantly karaoke.
So If you’ve never been then what are you waiting for! Get down to Breaking The Ice on April 1st and help us Celebrate two years of Karaoke madness!

Breaking the Ice (BTI), London’s premier rnb and hip hop karaoke night celebrated its 2nd anniversay on Wednesday 1st April 2009 at Piya Piya. Football matches on TV and the G20 protests didn’t stop the BTI crew turning up in full force to have the usual fun and entertaining night of karaoke. Booty Luv’s Nadia Shephard hit the stage giving us an amazing rendition of Jodeci’s Luv U 4 LIfe and Carnia White (who was out celebrating her birthday) was crowned the karaoke queen by the crowd for her performance of Mary J Blige’s Just Fine. She won a luxury fitness weekend supplied by www.3ness.com. If you missed it, you missed out, cos there aint no party like a BTI party. Read more
