London takes on the shades of noir this Friday with the arrival in cinemas of thriller City Of Tiny Lights.

Based on the best-seller of the same name, City Of Tiny Lights sees down at heel private detective Tommy Akhtar (Riz Ahmed) drawn into the seedy world of crime and corruption when a high-class prostitute disappears.  It’s a journey that also takes him into his past and helps him finally put some memories to bed.

Freda Cooper caught up with the film’s director, Pete Travis, to talk about the original book, the cast and the influence of Raymond Chandler on the film.  And there was also the inevitable question about the likelihood of a sequel to Dredd ……..
