We’ve got the exclusive first look the trailer for BLACK, The tale of forbidden love amongst the Brutal world of Youth Gang Culture.

When BLACK premiered at the Toronto Film Festival – which saw the film win the Discovery Award – People, including the likes of Eddie Murphy and Jerry Bruckheimer sat up and took notice. So much so that the pair personally selected the young directors behind the film, Adil El Arbah and Bilall Fallah, to take the helm of the new Beverely Hills Cop 4 which is currently in development.

Black follows the story of two gangs on the mean streets of Brussels, The Black Bronx and the 1080’s. Both with their menacing sides but it’s The Black Bronx who are the most dangerous when the rape of young women is just seen as an acceptable part of life.

With a touch of Romeo and Juliet surrounding the plot when Marvela, a 15 year old Black Girl, who belongs to The Black Bronx falls in love with Marwan, a moroccan member of the 1080’s things get complicated and it all ends in an all out tragic war between the two gangs.

Black is such a powerful and brutal story of racism, violence, sexual violence and the treatment of young women in urban street gangs you’ll feel the effects deep down into your soul and will stay with you long after you’ve left the cinema.

BLACK is released in August the 19th
