Today see’s the release of the first trailer for Loving, based on a true story of an interracial couple’s struggles in the US.
Loving, celebrates the real-life courage and commitment of an interracial couple, Richard (Edgerton) and Mildred (Negga) Loving, who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family in their hometown.
Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry – making their love story an inspiration to couples everywhere.
Loving see’s Joel Edgerton in the lead alongside Ruth Negga in a story that will angry and tug on the heart strings of many as they identify with the struggle of racism in a country that refuses to evolve. Loving is directed by Jeff Nicholls and has a cast that includes Michael Shannon, and Nick Kroll
