This winter, as part of the BFI’s major blockbuster season BFI LOVE, four iconic romances will return to big screens across the UK.
The BFI has teamed up with Vue Cinemas to bring Romeo + Juliet, Titanic, True Romance and Brokeback Mountain to 56 Vue Cinemas across the UK, from Edinburgh to Exeter and Doncaster to Dublin, will rekindle the nation’s passion for film with the ultimate date night of four iconic love stories on four dates in November and December.
Pine over everyone’s favourite 90s teen heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio in Baz Luhrmann’s effortlessly cool Romeo + Juliet (1996) and James Cameron’s Oscar-winning epic Titanic (1997), co-starring Kate Winslet. Experience love at first sight with True Romance (1993), written by Quentin Tarantino and starring Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette as lovers on the run Clarence and Alabama. Finally, prepare for heartbreak with Ang Lee’s award-winning Brokeback Mountain (2005) starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger.
