The MTV Staying Alive Foundation a global charity dedicated to stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS has been announced as renowned New York skincare brand Kiehl’s official UK Charity partner for 2015.

The MTV Staying Alive Foundation supports innovative projects that aim to stop HIV before it even starts; since 2005 the Foundation has supported the growth of 538 awareness-raising projects worldwide, has helped 200,000 people get tested and distributed over 7 million condoms.

All of Kiehl’s 102 boutiques and department store points of sale will support the MTV Staying Alive Foundation in raising money and awareness through special activities and handouts for customers in store. A limited edition version of Kiehls iconic Ultra Facial Cream with a label designed by recording artist Tinie Tempah, the MTV Staying Alive Foundation Ambassador for 2015, will be launched nationwide in October.

Antony Rankin, Kiehl’s UK and Ireland General Manager said “Kiehl’s has a longstanding heritage of working to fight the HIV and AIDS epidemic with our work beginning in the 1980’s, when it was taboo to even talk about the disease. Just in the past 10 years, we have raised more than $2,500,000 for the cause. We are proud to continue this important philanthropic work with Tinie Tempah and the MTV Staying Alive Foundation; an effective, ground-breaking organisation built on the foundation that, given the right tools, every young person has the potential to help protect their generation and beyond from HIV.”

Georgia Arnold, MTV Staying Alive Foundation Executive Director said: “This is an exciting partnership for us. Combining our campaigning work with a skincare brand as respected as Kiehl’s gives us a new platform to reach even more people with our HIV awareness message. With Tinie turning his hand to designing graphics for the limited edition Ultra Facial Cream, we continue to fuse creativity with education, breaking convention and striving to inform as many people as possible about the importance of their sexual and reproductive health. It’s all about getting people to take the best care of their bodies; Kiehl’s does a great job of promoting optimum skincare, so together hopefully we can inspire many more to invest in their personal wellbeing.’
