Hot on the heels of his recent musical success, singer-songwriter Midé returns with his debut EP ‘Mainstream’. Like its acclaimed predecessor, the EP is led by it’s title track, and while bloggers rightly crawl to their keyboards to heap praises upon the soulful, Raphael Saadiq-meets-Lemar songster, we think this is Midé’s best chance yet of following in towards arena-filling success as a solo artist.

The Nigerian songster, who cites Eric Clapton, as his inspiration, says: “I’ve always had a creative streak and in my early teens it came out in the form of art. I was always drawing up comical superheroes and cartoons. Somehow, through college, it grew into a liking for arts and music and literature.”

The result of ‘Mainstream’ is musically adventurous and equally pleasing with a mix of sounds that seems familiar but at the same time is totally unique. Listen to the experimental ten minute long EP below.
