You remember that super talented boy band Fundamental, who then changed their name to FDM? You know, they had hits like ‘Playground’ and ‘The Pudding’ Mixtape? Although the band is no longer together, that isn’t the end for the boys in the band. In fact, it is only the beginning.

Singer Varren Wade is bringing out his own solo material which is sure to rock the UK music scene, quite literally. His debut track ‘Rock N Roll’ has been described as a mix between Coldplay and Jason Derulo, with the word ‘epic’ thrown in. You need to check it out.

Varren said of his debut: “I wanted to show my respect to the innovators of Rock n Roll from the musicians that brought us gospel and the blues which morphed into our present day sounds of Rock n Roll and popular music – Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Elvis and my rock idols Freddie Mercury and his band Queen, 10cc, The Monkey’s, The Legendary Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Tina turner, U2, Prince and the undisputed king of pop Michael Jackson… I could go on forever. These are the people that have inspired me, the ones that I pay homage to in my debut track and video.  I wanted to start my journey with a big thank you, remembering and celebrating their graft, craft, innovative work ethic and hope that comes across in Rock n Roll.”

This year, Varren has been working with some exciting musicians across the board such as Neyo, Wretch 32 and Mario Winans. He has also been grafting with producers who have worked with the likes of Chris Brown, Maroon 5 and Snoop Dogg. With all this in mind, it is safe to say that we should expect big things from the solo singer in 2012.
