Public Enemy and the late Donna Summer will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year.

The hip hop pioneers will become the fourth only rap group to be honoured joining Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run DMC and The Beastie Boys. The group formed in 1982 is widely hailed as one of the forefathers of hip hop.

The 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame festivity will also pay tribute to the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, who died this year aged 63.
