Essex born singer songwriter Stan Blade is preparing to release his debut album titled ‘Stan Blade Is All Mouth’, which features 10-tracks of the spoken word.
Well known for singing and rapping to a classical guitar, Stan Blade has recently become a favourite on the spoken word scene, dropping the guitar to focus on the lyrics. Stan writes his songs with the aim of making them witty with a double meaning, so that every time a fan attends a gig they are able to pick out a different meaning and the music remains fresh.
Taking inspiration from artists such as George The Poet, Jamie T and Kate Tempest, Stan Blade interestingly doesn’t write down any lyrics, instead he freestyles and takes the approach that if it’s good he’ll remember it. Once he reaches the recording process, Stan knows the tracks inside out and aims to record the song in one take, so as to capture the essence of the spoken word.
The debut album is available to download and stream via all major media providers. Although he isn’t currently touring there are plans to work his way through the festival circuit this summer. Stan Blade Soundcloud
