Southampton based rock band Strapped for Cash recently released their newest single Even Jesus Wept (Song For Saffie), a charity single with all proceeds going towards the WeLoveManchester appeal.

After forming 7 years ago and having a successful career so far, supporting the likes of Eric Clapton and Status Quo, rock band Strapped for Cash decided to play their part after the Manchester terror attack earlier this year.

Produced by Chris Thomas (Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Elton John) Even Jesus Wept (Song for Saffie) is a soulful ballad featuring powerful guitar chords and meaningful lyrics sung by 18 year old Lucy Smith in her first ever recording. Although the track is out of genre for the band, it speaks to the masses and reflects the importance of coming together in difficult times for the bettering of society.

Even Jesus Wept (Song For Saffie) is available now to buy and stream via all major media providers and more information about Strapped for Cash and their upcoming live shows can be found on their social media accounts.
