Welcome to the first Style File for 2012!

I hope everything is going well for you. Last year was crazily busy for me – and this year isn’t going to be any different! I’m studying to be a teacher so I can use my styling and clothes-making skills to teach the next generation. It’s been hard juggling studying, styling and teaching, especially since I haven’t studied for years. The last time was years ago, doing womenswear at London College Of Fashion. I’m about being creative; this is so different, lots of writing assignments are involved – help!!! It’s killing me, but I’ll get through it…

This issue is about ‘Leaders’, here’s my nomination: Mary J Blige. She’s been in the music game for over 20 years and is still on her journey. She came from the projects, struggled with drugs, suffered from domestic violence while in the industry, then found God and a beautiful hubby – that’s why I honour her as a leader. OK, on to the fashion…

For him…
Classic, contemporary, cool and sexy – he’s got it all!

Constructed upon the firm foundations of traditional tailoring skills and a continued appreciation of indulgent yet refined materials, Remus Uomo brings a fresh silhouette to the menswear market. With contemporary lines, slimline collars, cutting-edge casuals and cleverly tailored suits, this architectural approach is what signalled the fashion house’s international appeal. Every piece in the Remus Uomo collection, from the simplest of casuals to the most structural of suits, has been cut, trimmed and finished to provide something more than just clothing.

An appreciation…
LUKE CLOTHING

I love Luke. Not only because he’s British but he has some amazing menswear pieces, from casual daywear to eveningwear.

The brand also has some incredible accessories and banging shoes and trainers. If you don’t know about Luke, it’s about time. I’ve been using Luke pieces for years; styled Ironik, Ed Sheeran and Loick Essien in it. So guys, here is a look I have put together that’s sure to catch your eye.
