One of the UK’s most influential broadcasters opts to end the year with a celebration that is not to be missed! Trevor Nelson invites you down to a night which also celebrates the release of the second installment of his compilation album – The Trevor Nelson Collection 2 (released 13th January 2013).
A pioneer within the underground scene Trevor’s humble beginnings derive from working at iconic radio stations such as; Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 2. His phenomenal work over the years has resulted in Nelson winning a record breaking 4 MOBO awards for best DJ. The Radio 1 DJ also pioneered urban music TV during the late 90s and 00s with his MTV Base show The Lick. Trevor Nelson has been renowned for his legendary parties since the MTV LICK PARTIES, and has hosted some of the best New Years Eve parties across the last 2 decades. But this year he has decided to upscale and go bigger & better than ever before with a state of the art venue on the banks of the river Thames, FIRE in Vauxhall.
Trevor has also hand picked a selection of the best DJ’s in the game to entertain 2000 party revelers across 3 arenas. In room 1, Trevor Nelson will be playing an exclusive 3 hour set inspired by the classics from the Collection album alongside Frisky DJ (DeJa Vu FM), in room 7b2 Trevor has called in on the services of, in his opinion, the biggest Hip Hop and R&B DJ in club land right now, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s CJ BEATZ and Chuckie, and finally in room 3 to compliment the party vibe, the legendary garage producer / DJ Wookie and Martin ‘Liberty’ Larner host the classic garage and house arena. As well as the amazing musical offering, no expense has been spared with a spectacular midnight countdown pyrotechnic display, and with sound and lighting that will blow your mind, your New Years expectations will not let down.
