After watching the trailer for the What we do in the Shadows (see below), we thought to ourselves that this is an interesting idea for a vampire movie.
What we do in the shadows is a documentary style movie similar to the way they shoot hit comedy TV series Modern Family and see’s Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are three vampires living together and trying to cope with modern life; from paying rent, doing housework, and trying to get into nightclubs, they’re perfectly normal – except for their immortality, fangs, and thirst for human blood. When their 8000 year-old housemate, Petyr, turns 20-something Nick into a vampire, the guys must guide him through his newfound eternal life. In return, they are forced to learn a thing or two about modern life.
With Halloween, just around the corner and all sorts of scary things that go bump in the night, if your someone that wants to watch a Halloween themed film on Halloween, but doesn’t want to scare the sit out of yourself for the dark walk home then maybe What we do in the Shadows is the movie for you, however you will have to wait until the 21st November to see it.
