Amir Miah, bicycle entrepreneur

Amir’s story reflects that fact that he grew up on a rough estate in London and found a way out against the odds. Amir used to buy and sell bicycles at a very young age to make his pocket money, but he later realised it’s not just a piece of metal, it’s something of value. With this realisation, he created ‘ Your Bike’, a project that gives young people training and employment opportunities. He believes that the people he’s worked with have talents that need to be found.

It takes courage, passion and determination to rise up against the odds and do something different in life. Amir is one of those people who did not let slim-to-none opportunities hold him back, instead, he set his own pathway, forged his own story and is a now an inspiration to us all, whether you are young or old.

Watch Amir’s heartfelt story below and you too will see that ‘What does it take’. Let’s show Amir our support by sharing this page with your friends and family.

As you can see from the above video, Amir wants to changes lives, he wants to help people and this is why he is a part of Universal Channel’s 100% Character Uncovered campaign.
