At Thirty-three-years-old Lisa Mason has decided to return to the world of gymnastics after retiring almost fifteen years ago after the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Now a single mother, Lisa Mason’s determination is a testament for us all and her never give up attitude is something we can all inspire to. Lisa has also worked as a teacher, hairdresser, model and as a stunt women It was only when she was put on a dance job at the London 2012 Olympic Ceremony that the idea of returning to the sport arose.
Imagine the criticism Lisa received. Most gymnasts careers are over by the time they reach 18 years-old, so how was Lisa’ going to make a comeback to this highly competitive field at the age of Thirty-three-years-old? With passion and determination that’s how.
