The Power of Grayskull is back, just don’t expect it to be the same Saturday morning cartoon you remember.
Netflix and Mattel Films have unveiled the first trailer for Masters of the Universe, an epic live-action reboot directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee), hitting cinemas soon. This is not just a nostalgia trip it’s a full-scale, fantasy-action spectacle reimagined for today’s audience.
Nicholas Galitzine stars as Prince Adam, who is drawn back to his war-torn home of Eternia after 15 years, led by the mysterious call of the Sword of Power. There, he discovers a world in ruin under the grip of the sinister Skeletor, played by Jared Leto.
To restore balance, Adam must embrace his true destiny as the galaxy’s mightiest protector. But you won’t hear the name He-Man too loudly in the trailer, hinting that the franchise is leading with mythos first, muscles second.
Joining the cast are Camila Mendes as warrior Teela, Idris Elba as the grizzled Man-At-Arms, and Kristen Wiig voicing Roboto. Also starring Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Charlotte Riley, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson.

With sweeping visuals, gritty world-building, and a surprising emotional core, Masters of the Universe looks to honour the past while pulling new fans into the cosmic battle between good and evil.
Whether you grew up with the toys or are stepping into Eternia for the first time, this might just be the power play of the year.
