One of London’s favourite summer institutions is back. The Somerset House Summer Series with American Express returns from 16-26 July 2026, and this year’s lineup might be the best they’ve put together.

That’s a lineup that spans decades of music and a serious range of genres — from The Flaming Lips’ psychedelic spectacle to the restless post-rock of Black Country New Road, the indie nostalgia of Lightning Seeds and the soul depth of Benjamin Clementine.
The Venue
If you’ve never been to Somerset House in summer, you’re missing something special. The courtyard setting is one of London’s most beautiful spots — open to the sky, surrounded by that iconic architecture, with a crowd that actually comes for the music. Each night is a one-night-only experience, which gives every show a sense of occasion that’s hard to replicate.
