Techno back-to-backs live or die on whether the two people involved actually push each other. This one should. Amelie Lens has spent the best part of a decade as one of the genre’s defining figures, with the EXHALE movement carrying her uncompromising vision from Belgium to every major stage going. Sara Landry arrived later and hits differently: heavier, more industrial, and openly framed around a kind of intensity that has made her one of the most talked-about names in modern techno.
Together, on Friday 21 August, they take the Magazine Open-Air stage for a UK exclusive.
The supporting bill
Broadwick have not treated this as a headline plus filler. SPFDJ brings the Berlin fast-and-fearless approach, DAX J is one of the most reliably punishing selectors in Europe, and Grace Dahl and DJ Hyperdrive round out a bill that stays at altitude all day. Magazine sits on Greenwich Peninsula, five minutes on foot from North Greenwich on the Jubilee line and under half an hour from central London. Techno in daylight
There is something slightly perverse and completely brilliant about putting a bill this heavy on an open riverside site in the middle of the afternoon, and that is rather the point of the venue. The sound has been engineered for clarity across the whole dancefloor, the bespoke stage was built to work with the architecture around it, and by the time Lens and Landry are in full flow the skyline will be doing the lighting.
