Two weekends of house, techno and future soul come to a close the only sensible way: R&B, slow jams and a sunset over the Thames.
There is a certain confidence in ending a series like this not with the hardest possible set but with the warmest. On Sunday 23 August, Magazine Open-Air signs off with RNB & Slow Jams, a closing party built around R&B, soul and the kind of records that do their best work as the light goes.

The full bill has not been revealed yet, which for a closing show is less of a gamble than it sounds. The concept carries it, and Broadwick have not put a weak line-up anywhere else in this series.
Getting there
Magazine sits on Greenwich Peninsula, five minutes on foot from North Greenwich on the Jubilee line and under half an hour from central London. The same links that serve The O2 bring you straight to the door, with easy connections from London Bridge, Liverpool Street and Stratford. The right way to finish
The site runs from mid-afternoon to 10pm, so the timing does most of the work here. R&B and slow jams at 3pm in August sunshine is one mood, and the same records at 9pm with the London skyline lit up across the water is another one entirely. The venue was designed around exactly that transition, with sound engineered for clarity across the whole dancefloor and food from Shapes Bar, Mangal II and London independents.
