Aidan Alexander talks fashion, advice and new projects

Teen sensation Aidan Alexander first started off his career on youtube and now has become a global phenomenon! Teens everywhere look up to him on for advice even the most personal things such as bullying.

Aidan has been working on various projects such as the DoSomething Campaign, The Hunt app for Coachella and Digifest! This allows his adoring fans to keep updated and even meet him!

Can you tell our readers about your involvement in the ‘DoSomething’ Campaign?

I have been working with DoSomething and H&M, to help recycle old clothing due to the fact 100 million tons of fabric is sent to landfills every year. I think this is a really fresh approach to getting teens involved, being H&M is one of the biggest teen brands.

What advice would you give to someone who is being bullied or that have witnessed someone being bullied?

My main piece of advice would be to always stand up for what is right. It can be really scary, but nothing good comes from keeping quiet when you are being targeted or someone you know is being targeted. Another piece of advice I would give is to identify your safe spot, a comfortable person you can talk to when you’re feeling down or threatened.

Why do you think it’s important that everyone supports different social issues within the  ‘DoSomething’ Campaign?

I think teaming up together and joining forces is a really good way to take a step forward in positive change. I think DoSomething has a ton of amazing charities to help with. Being that I have a larger social presence, I really want to use it make a positive influence.

As you have a big passion for fashion, what was it like representing the new fashion app ‘The Hunt’ at this years Coachella festival?

Working with “The Hunt’ this Coachella season was amazing, not only because I love the app, but because it gave me an excuse to take pictures of a lot of amazing outfits people wore to the festival. Once again, this app is a super innovative way for finding some of your favorite staple pieces from strangers who upload photos to the app.

What are you most excited for while being on the DigiTour?

I am so excited to meet all of my amazing supporters who are coming, and I am super excited to see a lot of my friends who don’t live in California, that I don’t get to see a ton. The show is always fun and I am definitely looking forward to the awesome production and cool performances.

Can you tell our readers about your upcoming projects?

I can tell the readers to expect a lot more fashion and lifestyle oriented content, and a lot more shoots. I have really been testing the waters lately and been doing a lot of things I have always wanted to do. Stay tuned 😉 Also, I’ll be producing a ton of fun content with AwesomenessTV, Seventeen magazine and on my own YouTube Channel!

What is it like to know that you are a teen fashion icon and what advice can you give people who want to follow in your footsteps?

My genuine advice to anyone wanting to get involved in fashion and style is: be brave! There are so many times I haven’t worn something I wish I would have because I was afraid of how people would react – and it is such an amazing feeling to wear what you want, and express yourself. It doesn’t matter if other people don’t agree with your outfit choices, as long as you life them.
