Editors Letter Issue 10

One of the things that I have been reminded of recently is that tomorrow isn’t granted. You do not know what life has in store for you so all the things that you say that you want to do or are going to do my advice is that you should stop putting off things that you can do today, until tomorrow. All those dreams that you have, whether you want to be an artist, a music superstar, the next top fashion designer or model. Just go for it. Don’t be put off by rejection, stay focused and be determined. Sometimes your talent is not always recognised straight away, but if you persevere it will be.

One of the only things that you cannot get back in this life is time. I don’t know about you, but I’ve vowed not to waste any of mine. JD aka Dready echoes my sentiments in the article Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop and our cover star Kojo has gone far on the road to success but refuses to be complacent whilst continuing his journey. Boyz II Men are still the most successful rnb group of all time, and continue to entertain us even though they’re a threesome. They’re a true testament proving that talent and hard work can enable you to have a life long career.

Here in the UK sometimes I think we do not shout enough about our achievements and successes and too many times I’ve heard people criticise others when they should be looking in the mirror at themselves.
Now you’ve got me in preaching mode I’m telling you not to envy the Fabulous Lives of the likes of JD, Kojo, Boyz II Men or Trey Songz. Don’t be jealous over people like Artcha or our Fabulous 5 who are knocking on the door of success because like them you have a talent too and that same door can get opened to you. We’re all special and born with a unique gift and if you do not know what yours is, then maybe you should start by doing a little soul searching to find it.

You are fabulous and you deserve the best, so what are you waiting for? The world is yours for the taking.
P.S. After not having been on a bike in over 10 years on June 15 I am taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. If you would like to sponsor me please go to www.justgiving.com/annikaallen
