Azealia Banks’ Broke with Expensive Taste achieved impressive chart status in over 50 different countries across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australasia on release in November last year, entering the top 10 of the iTunes album charts in over 15 countries in its first week of release alone. In the UK it peaked at #6 in the UK iTunes Album charts and #1 in the UK iTunes Alternative charts, while in the US it reached #1 on the iTunes Hip Hop Chart, no #3 in the iTunes Album Charts and was the third most streamed album on Spotify week of release.

Azealia Banks will be bringing her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste to life when she hits the road this spring and summer with headline tour dates and select festival appearances across North America and Europe. These include appearances at Reading and Leeds Festivals on 29th and 30th August and Love Saves the Day Festival on 24th May in the UK, and Coachella Festival on 10th and 17th April in the US.

In other news, Azealia Banks recently launched the ground-breaking, web-cam driven, interactive video for her album track ‘Wallace’ – which was built on Google Cloud Platform and works exclusively on Google’s Chrome browser – in addition to gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine’s annual music issue. Banks was shot for the cover story, which is on the shelves now, by world-renowned photographer Ellen Von Unwerth and joins an impressive line of legendary female icons who have also been featured on the cover, including Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Grace Jones, Raquel Welsh and Dolly Parton to name a few.
