Blanchette Brick Lane launches weekend brunch

Blanchette Brick does brunch

Blanchette Brick Lane, the shabby-chic East end bistro, has extended its popular menu to include a weekend brunch, served Saturday to Sunday from 11 am to 2:00 pm.

Showcasing the restaurant’s signature French cuisine with a North African twist, Chef Director Tam Storrar has created a brunch menu that ranges from egg dishes to buttermilk pancakes with various toppings, boulangerie delicacies and favourite French classics.

In true brunch style, a build-your-own eggs menu offers Two Cacklebean free range eggs (poached, scrambled or fried) on toasted sourdough or brioche bun (£4.95) served with a choice of multiple toppings including Smashed pumpkin, feta and harrisa (£3) alongside the classic Avocado (£3), Back bacon (£2) or Smoked salmon (£3).

For a more indulgent option, a build-your-own pancakes menu consists of Light and fluffy buttermilk pancakes (£5.25) with a choice of toppings ranging from Berry compote (£3.50) to Hazelnut and chocolate ganache (£2.50).

In keeping with Blanchette’s French roots, a boulangerie offers baked goods such as Brioche buns, Chocolate and hazelnut croissants, and Ham and cheese croissants, all for £2.75. Of course, the menu would not be complete without the obligatory Croque Monsieur (£7) and Croque Madame (£8), which feature amongst other sandwiches including one of Blue cheese, mushroom & straw potato (£6.25). The restaurant’s Northern African twist is showcased in Storrar’s signature Baked Moroccan eggs with flatbread and Merguez sausage roll.

To drink, guests can choose from a selection of coffees, freshly squeezed juices and Blanchette’s signature cocktails, including classic breakfast tipples such as the Mimosa and Bloody Mary.

Ideally located in the centre of Shoreditch, the new menu makes Blanchette a perfect weekend destination for London’s ever hungry brunch-goers.
