With the long awaited summer days looming ahead of us for the next few months (or hope of) it has typically sparked the boom of bridal season! Here are some of my top 10 picks for this season.
The Understated Up-do
A classic, chic up-do with almost zero style means minimum effort & maximum effect. The key is that even though your hair is up it still needs to be in great condition so that when you slick it back the shine contrasts with the dramatic hair accessory. Example from my own work and portfolio.
The Dolly Up-Do
Go super girlie with a cute curls-piled-high style. Work your waves into a tumbling up-do and pin with jewelled hair accessories. Finish with a eccentric hairband to frame this look. As worn by Fast and Furious franchise beauty Jordana Brewster.
The Very Modern Bride
Go fierce with a teased beehive and an on trend plait. This totally eye-catching look will wow your guests alone until the groom gets his eyes on you! Finish this look off with simple make-up and bright lips! As shown by this model.
There’s something so grown-up and glamorous about wearing a real flower in your hair, especially if it matches your bouquet. Keep the hair simple, but interesting, with a curled-under ponytail or severe side-parting. An example of this from my own portfolio and work as shown.
Channel your inner Heidi with on-trend, intricate braiding arranged into a crown shape at the top of your head. Therefore leaving you with a gorgeous goddess look like Diane Kruger.
The Ballerina Bride
The ballerina bun is big this season thanks to the phenomenon that is known as Black Swan! Even after the film wrapped Natalie Portman took this look to the red carpet with her own unique twist. It may feel daunting to rock this look as it does take a good bone structure to pull off a classic bun like this. BUT it’s nothing that a good contouring blush can’t fix! Example from my own portfolio.
