BRIT Awards 2013 Red Carpet Fashion

Even if you’ve been living under a rock, you must have noticed that the Brit Awards came and went a few days ago.  The music industry’s finest were out in full force and considering it was the day after London Fashion Week you would have expected them to be out looking their best but, unfortunately that wasn’t the case!

There has been an overload of fashion these last few weeks and maybe they just couldn’t be bothered to hit another red carpet or, was it a case of them trying too hard to be fashionable and it backfired?! Whatever the reason we spotted a handful of stars that looked good on the red carpet and too many that didn’t! Take a look and judge for yourself.

Looking Good

Laura Whitmore looked amazing at London Fashion Week and has kept up her great style in this Zoe Jordon gold metallic mini-dress. Jessie J looked understated and classy in a low-cut black Versace dress.

Music duo AlunaGeorge look great and I especially love Aluna’s metallic dress! Musical trio Stooshe keep it funky and I even think the androgynous look Courtney went for with the blue suit and platform pumps works for her.

Wow how hot does Taylor Swift look?! Love her Elie Saab dress with double thigh-splits and sheer panels. Another singer looking good in black was Rebecca Ferguson whose dress featured a lace top and also showed off a bit of leg.

Looking Bad

Alexa Chung must have thought it was summer when she chose this Valentino shorts and top. Not liking Corinne Bailey-Rae’s creased dress either!

This is a print disaster! I don’t know what Jaime Winstone was thinking wearing this outfit! Katherine Jenkins doesn’t look too hot either in this Stella McCartney creation, the bump at the back and swirls of colour swamp her small frame.

Another colouful mess was spotted on Zoe Hardman but, bless her I think she tried! Jourdan Dunn wore this yellow Balmain mini-dress which looks more suitable for a nightclub!

I don’t know who told Rita Ora to wear this Ulyana Sergeenko couture gown but, the salmon colour doesn’t suit her and the ruffling at the back looks awful! Saving the worst until last, Gemma Arterton – where did she think she was going when she chose to grace the red carpet in this awful red sequinned Jonathan Saunders dress? This is an outfit that needs to be destroyed!
