Brunch Electronik Festival Reveals Phase 2 Lineup With Kaytranada, Jeff Mills and a Michelin-Starred Twist

Brunch Electronik Festival has pulled off one of the most creative lineup announcements in recent memory. Rather than dropping another graphic on Instagram, the Barcelona festival teamed up with three-Michelin-starred chef Jordi Roca to reveal its Phase 2 artists through an immersive, edible experience at a secret location in the city.

100 hand-picked guests from the worlds of music, food, art and culture gathered for an evening that felt more like performance art than a press event. A giant egg-shaped timer counted down while drinks were served through hidden openings in a surreal wall installation. When the countdown hit zero, Roca emerged with a conveyor of desserts, each concealing the name of an artist. To discover the lineup, guests had to eat their way through the reveal.

The New Names

Headlining the Phase 2 additions is Kaytranada, whose genre-blending fusion of hip-hop, house and future R&B has made him one of the most in-demand producers on the planet. Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills adds serious weight to the programme, while Luciano brings his signature minimal groove back to the Mediterranean.

French touch legends Cassius (Live) are confirmed for a rare live performance, promising one of the summer’s standout moments. Elsewhere, BASHKKA b2b Sally C deliver high-voltage club energy, Max Dean continues his rapid rise, and Yu Su, SYREETA and NHYMPH expand the festival’s house, bass and leftfield dimensions.

Building on a Stacked Phase 1

These additions join a Phase 1 that already includes Eric Prydz, Paul Kalkbrenner, Jamie Jones, Floating Points (Live), 999999999, Deborah de Luca, Mau P, Rødhåd, Seth Troxler and Miss Monique. With Barcelona’s own scene represented through local artists like PAULA GM and Mercè, it is shaping up as the festival’s most ambitious edition to date.
