Cherie Lily gave us the EP “The Dripping Wet” and has just released the a video from her song “Body“. We decided to get up close and personal with Cherie and get her dating tips.

Do you believe in splitting the bill on the first date?
It depends on the situation, but if you really want to make a good impression, offer to pay for the whole bill. It’s classy and makes the other person feel special. When I was on first dates, I’d always offer to split the bill to be polite and fair, but if they said yes, I’d be a little surprised, especially if they asked me out.

Biggest misconception about the opposite sex?
One of the biggest misconceptions about the opposite sex is that women can’t/shouldn’t be as promiscuous as men. I know a lot of women who love to get busy as often as possible. I don’t see anything wrong with this, but society sometimes does. I believe that if men are celebrated for being super sluts, then women should be too.

Give us 1 do and 1 don’t do on a first date.
Definitely do listen to your date and take turns leading the conversation. Don’t talk about your ex. It’s annoying and trashy.

Is it OK for a lady to ask a guy on a first date?
Definitely, yes! If the guy is super shy, you can help plant the seed and speed up the process! If the guy isn’t into you and says NO, well at least now you know.

And if it is OK for her to ask, then should she pay for the first date?
If the girl asked the guy (or girl) out on a date, then yes, she should definitely offer (and expect) to pay for the whole bill. Call me old-fashioned, but if you ask someone out on a date, that usually implies that you’re offering to pay that person’s way. If your date gets seriously offended by you paying for the whole bill, then you can compromise.
