‘Fait Accompli’ is the latest EP from Brisbane Singer-Songwriter, Eddie Petterson.
Different to his first release, ‘Charlotte and Augie’ in that he has added a new element of jazz instrumentation to the mix, whilst still staying true to his core sound. ‘Fait Accompli’ is available on pre-order through iTunes, with an expected release date of November 25, 2016.
Whilst travelling around the UK, Scandanavia and Iceland – Petterson recorded a few songs with legendary keyboard session player and record producer Andy Whitmore (Spandau Ballet, Elton John, Eternal), at his own Greystoke Studios.
Eddie then met young producer Joe Rodwell and after sharing a few demo’s with Joe, they both decided to work together on Eddie’s return to Australia.
A new challenge Eddie was faced with when recording ‘Fait Accompli’ was that he was writing new songs on guitar, that were to be recorded on piano. As well as the qualms that come with collaborating with a producer in a different time-zone. Ten months later, Petterson is now ready to release ‘Fait Accompli’, available now on pre-order and set for release on Friday November 25, 2016.
