EE Glastonbury

As we’re finally getting towards Glastonbury, today EE announces, that it is the official technology and communications partner for Glastonbury Festival 2017, bringing the most powerful temporary 4G network seen at any UK event to the 900-acre site for the fifth consecutive year.

In light of the increasing popularity, and use, of live social media capabilities including Snapchat, Instagram Stories and Facebook Live, EE is preparing for the most socially shared music event of 2017. In anticipation of 175,000 festival-goers descending on the iconic Worthy Farm site, the network partner is expecting to see up to a whopping 40 terabytes of data shared across its 4G network during the duration of the 5 day event which is an incredible 33% increase from 2016!

On site EE will be offering free device charging to all festival goers, the Juice Tube Power Bank on-site swapping service as well as wireless, and QC 30 charging stations, which can charge some devices in under 30 minutes!
