Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Team up With Google Daydream for London Comic Con

Today see’s the start of MCM London Comic Con – which is being held at the Excel Centre in London’s East End until October 30th. Just one of the movies that make an appearance with their own stand is the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them .

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Warner Bros have teamed up with Google Daydream at this year’s London Comic Con to present a new mobile VR platform which is on display at the Fantastic Beasts stand and will allow users to experience a whole new depth to J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.

We took a trip down to London Comic Con to try our hand at being a wizard, casting spells and trying out the mobile VR platform.  As well as taking a bit of time to get used to the experience was so realistic we forgot where we were as we had to cast spells to move from a room to the outside world and to feed a Fantastic Beast we thought was going to bite our head off.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is an all-new adventure returning
us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling.
Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) stars in
the central role of wizarding world Magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the
direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four “Harry Potter”
blockbusters.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander
has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary
array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he
might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj
(American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape
of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the
wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is out in cinemas November 18th.
