Fresh as Tommi: Keeping it ever so fresh

They originally started out as 5 young female teens called Tommi but after seven years Bambi and Peeks from the group are back as a duo called Fresh as Tommi.

Starting as a five piece, the girls signed two major deals with Warner and Universal but lost them both due to the labels merging. With some of the advance money from the deals, they shot their single ‘What part of No’ which got A listed on MTV Base, leading them to be signed again. They eventually scored a top 12 hit with ‘Like What’ and things started to look up for the girls after a promising start on their third major label with Sony Records. With more bad luck, things didn’t work out between the label and the group and the girls parted ways.

Bambi, 23, and Peeks, 25, continued to chase their dream and headed stateside. They now have become an underground phenomenon where their current US management Gallic Wars secured their track ‘What’s it Gonna Be’, on the current G Unit’ mixtape creating an international fan base with 7.5million hits on their MySpace.

Fresh as Tommi are also the European faces of Nelly’s new international branch of clothing line Apple Bottoms where the girls grace the walls of the main Apple Bottoms store in Dubai and since have been involved with So Fragrances, Uneek Garmz Ugly Kids Club and Team Gridlock.

The girls are also involved in their own individual projects. Bambi has her own interactive TV chat show on Sky TV called ‘The Chat’ and Peeks is a highly skilled Graphic and website designer working on a graphic Novel ‘Diamond Angels Real Stories’.
