Virgin Atlantic offers a reward programme called The Virgin Atlantic Flying Club (which gives you rewards in Virgin Air Miles). Every time you fly with Virgin atlantic you will receive air miles if you sign up for a Virgin Flying Club account. Sign up is quick and easy and will literally only take you a minute or two.

The benefits of a Virgin Air Miles account are as follows;

So how do you get FREE Virgin Air Miles and How to boost them quickly?

The quickest was to get FREE Virgin Air Miles when you sign up for the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card. The Virgin Atlantic Credit Card is directly linked to your Virgin Air Miles account. Every time you spend on the card you will receive Air Miles from your purchases.

There’s currently a special offer running up until 28th June 2017. Earn up to 10,000 bonus miles on Virgin Atlantic White Credit Card account and up to 25,000 bonus miles on Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card account. See image below for full details.

How to get FREE Virgin Atlantic Air Miles

Once you’ve signed up for the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card, you’ll receive two types of card for the same account. The first card is an AMEX (American Express) and the second is a Visa card.

Top Tip – Use the AMEX card where possible as you will receive 2 point for every £1 you spend, where as you only receive 1 point for every £1 you spend on the Visa card.

Virgin Atlantic Credit Card

Once you have received your credit card, you can start referring friends, you’ll probably receive an email shortly after using your card stating:

“There’s never been a better time to recommend a friend for the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card Account. You’ll earn 3,000 bonus miles for each friend who is accepted1, when they make their first purchase within 90 days of the account opening. Plus, you can recommend up to 25 friends a year.” (This is subject to change, so you have to move swiftly to make use of this offer).

You will also receive air miles for every Virgin atlantic flight you book and travel on. Here’s how it works:

  1. Earn miles – Based on how far you’re flying, your ticket and your membership tier.
  2. Spend your miles – On reward flights, upgrades and more to amazing destinations.
  3. Partner miles – Earn and spend your miles with a whole world of partners in the air and on the ground. See your miles mount up.
  4. Collect Tier Points – To watch your status glide from Red to Silver and up to Gold.

Other tips on getting FREE Air Miles

Tesco Clubcard – If you shop at Tesco and have signed up for a Tesco Clubcard, then you can exchange your Tesco Clubcard point to Air Miles. Every time you do your weekly shopping you will receive points on your Tesco Clubcard. If you already have a tesco clubcard you can either log in to your account online or call them up and tell them that you would like to have you Tesco Club Card point converted into Air Miles. It’s quick simple and easy and every month or so you will see hundreds on points added to your air miles account.

Top Tip – Use your Virgin Atlantic AMEX Credit Card in Tesco to pay for your goods. You’ll receive 2 miles for every £1 you spend and if you also use your Tesco Clubcard, you’ll receive air miles from that too (double bubble).

Waitrose (instore only) – 1 miles for every £1 you spend.

Debenhams (instore only) – 1 miles for every £1 you spend.

Jamie’s Italian (instore only) – 2 miles for every £1 you spend.

American Golf (instore only) – 4 miles for every £1 you spend.

Ernest Jones (instore only) – 2 miles for every £1 you spend.

So what can you get from your Virgin Flying Club Miles?

Spend your miles on the new standard and peak season reward flights, starting from just 20,000 miles return. Peak season reward flights are available at 20,000 miles more, whichever cabin and wherever your adventure takes you.

Simply choose ‘spend your miles’ when you search for your flight. Handy tip: If your travel dates are fairly flexible, take a look at the 5 week calendar when you’re searching for your flight. Just pick your dates, select ‘within 5 weeks’ and you’ll see a wider range of flights.

So basically a reward flight round trip can take you to the Caribbean where you only pay the taxes on your flight. Imagine Flying to Jamaica, St Lucia, Barbados or Cuba for under £250 return + 20,000 miles. Yikes! Sounds amazing right? Of course it does, well 20,000 can also take you to the USA (North East).
