Henley Royal Regatta: What You Need To Know

With under 40 days to go, here’s everything you need to know about the Henley Royal Regatta 2023

One of Britain’s most prestigious sporting events, Henley Royal Regatta, returns to Henley-On-Thames once again on Tuesday 27th June- Sunday 2nd July 2023. Whether you want to attend the rowing or just to experience the dazzling atmosphere, there are tickets available for anyone, not just members.

What are the ticket options?

The Stewards Enclosure is available for members and their guests. Situated on the Berkshire Bank, opposite the Finish Line, and offers the ultimate vantage point to experience the competition. It is home to two Grandstands, a Prize Tent & Art Gallery, an array of bars & restaurants, and prime riverside seating to catch all of the racing action. This Enclosure is open to Members and their Guests, including children from the age of ten. A Stewards’ Enclosure Badge also allows access to the Regatta Enclosure.

If you’re not a member, then you can purchase the Regatta Enclosure. Situated on the Berkshire bank, just downstream from the Stewards’ Enclosure, the Regatta Enclosure is open to the general public (including babies and children of all ages) and is the ideal place from where families and supporters can watch the racing. The Regatta Enclosure features riverside seating, an open grandstand, large screen TV, as well as a cafe and restaurant – offering both formal & informal dining – and a bar where you can enjoy something cool and refreshing with friends.

What’s the dress code?

For the Stewards Enclosure, members are asked to adhere to the dress code.

Ladies are required to wear dresses or skirts with a hemline below the knee, jackets or blazers with trousers, or trouser suits. Whilst not a requirement, it is customary for ladies to wear hats. No shorts, leggings, tracksuits, or jeans are permitted.

Gentlemen are required to wear lounge suits, jackets, or blazers with trousers, together with a tie or, if preferred, a cravat. No shorts, leggings, tracksuits, or jeans.

There is no formal dress code for the Regatta Enclosure however why not embrace the spirit of the event by wearing club blazers, caps, and other rowing apparel? Whether you decide to dress up or opt for a more casual look, you will not look out of place!

What are the Food & Drink options?

Both enclosures offer a range of drinks and food options.  The Stewards Enclosure has a variety of options including afternoon tea, seafood, and much more.  As the Regatta Enclosure has more of a chilled vibe, you can expect food options to include street food including Greek Meze, Indian Street Food, Mexican Tacos, Steak & Lobster, and Wood-Fired Pizza.
