Yesterday (October 15th 2018) saw the launch of the Huawei Mate 20 series and these phones are monsters.
Three new phones, the Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro & Huawei Mate 20 X are all available to purchase now and start from €799 which is still quite cheaper than some of the current phones on the market that have less power. Carphone Warehouse is currently selling the Huawei Mate 20 Pro for £899 with free SmartWatch and free Wireless Charger worth £259.
At the launch of the Huawei Mate 20 series in Excel, Richard Yu, CEO showcased some of the amazing features these new phones have to offer to an audience of over 800 journalists, influencers and tech geeks who watched in awe.
Best Selfie Camera
The Mate 20 series currently offers the best selfie-taking phone on the market. With its 24MP 3D camera, your pictures will be sharper, brighter and better than ever and this just the beginning.
The Mate 20 series comes with 3 cameras on the back, co-engineered by Leica (high-end lens and camera manufacturer) each with a different focal length that gives unprecedented camera features and quality, like no other phone on the market, plus with its Master AI 2.0 image processing the phone can use different elements from the photo and create the correct filters for each element… If you love taking photos and videos for instagram, facebook, twitter or snapchat, the Mate 20 series will be your new best friend.
A lot of wow moments occurred during the launch of the Huawei Mate 20 series. The audience erupted in awe, when CEO, Richard Yu, mentioned exciting technical breakthroughs such as the Mate20 series 40W superfast charging capabilities (440% faster than the iPhone Xs max and that fact that the Mate20 series comes with reversible back-to-back charging. If you and your mates or anyone else for that matter, both own Mate20s you can simply put each other’s phones back-to-back on top of each other and charge your phone. This is perfect for those moments when you need a quick charge on the go.
Another wow moment came with CEO, Richard Yu, showcased the Mate 20’s camera capabilities. While the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro was taking up everyone’s attention at the launch. Huawei taunted us with a ‘One more thing moment’ and unveiled the mammoth Huawei Mate 20 X which boasts a 7.2 Ultra Large Display, extra power and extra performance.
Some of the Huawei Mate 20 X features include: Super-Bass Stereo Speaker System (120% stronger than iPhone Xs max), Plug and play gaming (connect the control pad and you’ll have yourself something similar to a Nintendo Switch), it’s also water and dust resistant and you’ll also get the new Huawei M-Pen.
When we held the Huawei Mate 20 X, we soon realised, it’s such a big yet small phone, It’s manageable and not as cumbersome to hold as you might imagine, so for those of you that love big screens and big phones, the Huawei Mate 20 X will be your phone of choice.
