Exclusive UK Interview with Max Schneider

He sings, dances, acts and models, is there anything he can’t do? The US performer answers our questions so we can get to know him that little bit better.

So, a model, actor and singer? How do you have time for all these things?

Well I love all three so I always try to devote time to each and really focus during that time. I’ve been very lucky to have done many projects that have involved singing and acting with a little dance thrown in there.

What made you decide your career path?

I really had no choice. I fell in love with performing after seeing my first Broadway show, Beauty And The Beast, and when I got home I reenacted the whole show on my living room table for my family. I haven’t stopped performing since.

Tell us more about a typical day in the life of Max Schneider?

Well I get up and make some kind of awesome breakfast, I love breakfast, work out for a bit and then head off to either go on set, get ready for an audition, go to a song writing session, or get ready for a show. Afterward I usually head home for a good family dinner which I always think is important and then maybe hang out with my friends. Everyday is usually a different adventure which is partly why I love it so much. The uncertainty in this industry is terrifying and intoxicating. You really feel like you’re living.

What do you do when you are not working?

Well I love coffee so I’ll usually have my fair share of coffee on days off. Watching one of my favorite shows is always a good way to relax, Breaking Bad, Monk, Sons Of Anarchy, Castle, etc. Or I’ll go on some sort of adrenaline pumping adventure whether it’s Zip lining, going to a theme park for some Roller Coasters, an awesome hike, or go to a trampoline world, just something that really gets my energy out.

I see you did some modeling with Madonna? What is Madonna like to work with?

Indeed I did. I played her son in the Dolce And Gabbana print campaign. She was incredible. That day is still so surreal in my mind. Not only getting to work with her but getting to spend the day with her was just insane. I had the best time.

What would you say is the best part of your work?

I’m not really sure. I’d say honesty is a huge part of my work. Whether it’s in my music or in playing a character, I strive to be as vulnerable and honest in my work as possible because that’s what I feel like connects with people more than anything else.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I just hope to be able to continue to do what I’m doing now in 10 years. If I’m still making people happy with my work then I will be inevitably happy. That’s all I can ask for.

Who is your biggest inspiration? My family inspires me more than anything. They’ve always been nothing but themselves and told me to do the same. I wore my robin hood costume for a month straight and they never told me to take it off that entire time. It’s that kind of love and support that they’ve translated to my career that is so incredibly inspiring to me. There’s nothing more inspiring than love.
Who are your favourite music artists at the moment?

Well Justin Timberlake is definitely my hero. He’s such a talented beast and his attitude and kindness just add to his exceptional talent. I also love Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran, The Script, Gavin Degraw, Macklemore, Miguel, and many more.

What is your next project that you have coming up?

Well I’ve been working on my EP “Nothing Without Love” that will be coming out this Spring with my first single dropping in April. I’m so excited to share the music with everybody out there!
