Interview: Meet Tiktok sensation Josh Killacky

Josh Killacky

With over 1 million followers on his socials combined, Josh Killacky is back with his new single ‘Workin‘.

From a very young age, Josh Killacky has always had a passion for music. Chicago native focused on being an all-around entertainer and performer, ultimately leading him to master performance through dance.

With ‘Workin’ giving fans a taste on what’s to come, they can expect new music from Josh this fall. I chatted to Josh about his new music, how to make a perfect TikTok and Post Malone.

Tell us about your track ‘Workin’. What inspired it?

What inspired my new single, “Workin” was to create a song that motivated everyone to get up from their couch & get active! With the world in a weird state, it’s crucial for us to motivate one another to stay positive & create good/positive energy… So listen to “Workin” if you need some of that!

How would you describe your sound?
I would describe my sound as pop w/ a hint of R&B. Even though the few songs that I have released are more energetic, the next couple of songs are more on an acoustic wave. We’re talking slower melody & guitar strums baby!
Who would be your dream musical collaboration and why?
My dream collaboration would be to create a song ft. Drake, Post Malone & Justin Bieber. I don’t even want to know how much that would cost lol

How does one make the perfect TikTok?

To make a perfect Tiktok, you got to focus on the correct lighting/atmosphere. 2nd step is to feel relatable & don’t forget to put those facials on!

If you could play any song or album on repeat, which would it be?

If I could put any album on repeat it would be “STONEY” by Post Malone

Do you have a standout memory from your career so far?

Standout memory has to be when I got the opportunity to perform in the middle of Times Square, LIVE, on GoodMorning America. We created a Hoverboard dance routine to Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” track that went super-viral!

What advice would you give someone that would like a career like yours?

The advice I’d give someone that wants a career like mine is to stay consistent & make sure you never lose track of what your main purpose is/ who you really are. It’s easy to get distracted by so much content & compare yourself. But at the end of the day, your happiness is going to come from pride in work that YOU believe in

.What would be the theme song to your life?

My theme song in life would “Started From The Bottom” by Drake! Put so much work to get to where I am today!
