With so many young artists emerging at the moment, it can be so easy to overlook up and coming talents that really matters. One of the most exciting new acts to catch our attention is 12-year-old singer, songwriter Anassa O’Neill. The British schoolgirl has every right to be “Feeling Good” after her cover of Nina Simone’s classic has now become a worldwide internet hit, notching up over a-million YouTube views. News of the teenage sensations covers having been spreading quickly through social media. Former footballers Robbie Savage and Peter Schmeichel, along with boyband Lawson are just a few who have been tweeting about her spellbinding voice.

With the attention of the world now on the 13-year-old, she has since followed up with several other covers, including a mesmerising take on Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child,’ and ‘We Can’t Stop’ by Miley Cyrus. It was her family, who discovered her singing voice last Christmas, and after being blown away by the mellowness of her voice, they encouraged her to pursue a music career – the rest is history.
