Last night, global music and entertainment platform TIDAL held its 3rd Annual “TIDAL X: Brooklyn” charity concert presented by BACARDÍ.
Hosted by Angie Martinez, the benefit concert featured an epic lineup of artists including: JAY-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder, DJ Khaled, Kaskade, Chris Brown, Cardi B, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Daddy Yankee, Yo Gotti, A$AP Ferg, Vic Mensa, Belly, Iggy Azalea, Jessie Reyez, Mack Wilds, Machel Montano, Mr. Eazi, Charly Black, Princess Nokia, Rapsody, Cipha Sounds, Victory, and more, and special appearances from Rosie Perez and Lin Manuel-Miranda.
This years’ performers came together in an effort to support relief and recovery for those affected by recent unprecedented natural disasters, including Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the earthquakes that took place in Mexico. The crowd went especially wild for Cardi B, screaming for an encore after performing her chart-topper “Bodak Yellow”.
Fat Joe was another fan favourite, as guests sang along with him to his classic hit “Lean Back,” which he performed with Remy Ma. Other notable sets included DJ Khaled, who brought out surprise guest Busta Rhymes for a rendition of “Look At Me Now” and headliner Jay-Z who opened with “Empire State of Mind.”
TIDAL X: Brooklyn is one of several charity benefit concerts supported by BACARDÍ. BACARDÍ has firmly committed to supporting the recovery efforts, rebuilding of lives and the communities it serves – many of which are home to the brand’s family and company. The brand donated over $4.3 million to relief agencies and the regions affected by these terrible disasters, including Puerto Rico, Florida and the Caribbean.
