With fall in full swing, I’m looking forward to embracing the cool weather in a few of this season’s hottest trends.

The Graphic Sweater
I love the sheer whimsy and playfulness of the graphic sweater. It’s a fun way to stay layered during the chilly months. Layering a fierce feline sweatshirt with a leather skirt makes for an interesting outfit while pairing a world blocking sweater with a printed skirt or boyfriend jeans creates a tres chic look!

The Leather Jacket
Th LBLJ or the Little Black Leather Jacket is one of my perennial favorites, fall after fall. It’s the perfect piece to infuse a bit of edge and rocker street cred to any outfit. This season, the leather jacket takes on countless iterations as there’s simply no wrong way to wear it. Whether worn with a full skirt, jeans, or even more leather, the LBLJ is the one and only fall statement piece.

Menswear
The influence of menswear is trickling its way into women’s fashion as structured and well-tailored coats and blazers are on the runways, in the fashion editorials, and on the streets. It’s such a versatile look that can easily be softened with a pencil skirt or kept streamlined with wide leg pants and tailored shorts.

The Midi Skirt
I am in love with the retro femininity of the midi skirt. Its modest length and fullness connote mid-century housewife glamour. No wonder it has quickly become one of the biggest fall trends as it instantly adds refinement and class to an outfit. Wear it with a simple basic top to maximize the effect of the midi.

The 90s Plaid
90s grunge is making a revival and it’s coming back hard and heavy by way of plaid! It’s so easy to incorporate the prevalent fall print into your wardrobe via a plaid shirt or a preppy plaid skirt. I like accessorizing my plaid with a knit hat and cool kicks for a casual yet trendy outfit that will never go out of style.
