To celebrate the home entertainment release of La La Land Flavourmag were invited down to Pineapple Dance Studios in central London to learn a tap routine from the film.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone took the lead in the mesmerising La La Land this year which swept the boards during the awards season not only for Damian Chazelle’s direction but for its catchy soundtrack and graceful talents of it’s leading lady.

The film which paid homage to the old singing and dancing classics of old Hollywood made audiences all over the world fall in love with the light on their feet leads as they swept each other of their feet in dance routines they made look oh so easy. Whilst Gosling and Stone had three months intensive training to make their moves look effectless, we had a much shorter time to get the moves down for the Lovely Night tap dancing routine.

All we can say is we have a whole new found respect for what these actors had to go through to accomplish perfection on the big screen.

Watch the video below to see us make a complete dog’s ear of the routine.
