Labyrinth is taking things outdoors this summer, bringing South Africa’s Major League DJz and their famous Balcony Mix series to a secret East London location for a one-day Block Party.
A New Chapter for Labyrinth
Labyrinth has built a serious reputation over the past few years as one of London’s most forward-thinking event brands. Now they’re levelling up with their first ever Block Party, and they’ve picked the perfect act to headline it.
Major League DJz will bring their iconic Balcony Mix series to a secret East London location on Sunday 14th June 2026. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, let us fill you in.
Who Are Major League DJz?
The South African duo, twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere, have become one of the biggest DJ acts on the planet over the past few years. Their Balcony Mix Africa series, which started as lockdown livestreams from a Johannesburg balcony, turned into a global phenomenon. Millions of views. Sold out shows across every continent. A sound that blends Amapiano, Afro-tech and house into something completely its own.
They sold out the Roundhouse in Camden last November, which says everything about where they sit in London’s music landscape right now. The demand is real and it’s growing.
Their sets are high energy, deeply musical and completely infectious. If you’ve ever watched a Balcony Mix on YouTube and wished you were there in person, this is your chance.
The Block Party Format
This isn’t a club night. It’s not a festival either. Labyrinth is going for something in between. A Block Party in the truest sense. Outdoor. Community feel. Music from day into night. A secret East London location that they’re keeping under wraps for now, which only adds to the anticipation.
The Block Party format suits Major League DJz perfectly. Their Balcony Mix series has always been about that outdoor, social, communal energy. People gathering. Dancing. Vibing. Translating that into a London street party setting feels natural rather than forced.
Labyrinth has confirmed this is part of their wider summer series, so expect more announcements to follow. But this opening statement is a strong one.

Why This Matters
London’s event scene has been crying out for more daytime outdoor experiences that go beyond the standard festival formula. Block parties have a rich history in the city, from Notting Hill Carnival sound systems to the warehouse culture of East London. Labyrinth tapping into that tradition while spotlighting African electronic music feels timely and exciting.
The Amapiano and Afro-tech wave has been building in the UK for years now, moving from niche nights to mainstream consciousness. Major League DJz headlining an outdoor London event of this scale shows just how far the sound has travelled.
Tickets and Dates
Pre-sale tickets go live on Wednesday 5th March at 10am. If you miss that window, general sale opens on Thursday 6th March, also at 10am.
Given that Major League DJz sold out the Roundhouse with minimal fuss, waiting around on this one would be a mistake. The Block Party format means capacity will be limited by the venue, and a secret East London location suggests this won’t be a massive arena-sized space.
Get your crew together and set your alarms. Sunday 14th June is one for the calendar. Grab tickets here.
