With lavender season blooming into view, a wave of purple-hued wanderlust is sweeping the UK. Social media is buzzing, with over 1.8 million views on #lavenderfields in the past week alone, and it’s clear that Brits are craving calm, colour, and countryside charm this summer.

To help lavender lovers plan their floral getaways, online flower brand Bloom & Wild has unveiled the UK’s most-loved lavender farms—just in time for peak blooming season.

Taking the top spot is Castle Farm in Shoreham, Kent, the country’s oldest and now most-loved lavender farm. Established in 1982 and still family-run, Castle Farm welcomes thousands of visitors each summer for its sweeping purple fields, breathwork sessions, and wreath-making workshops. Entry is £15 for adults and £8 for children—but with 71,000 Instagram followers, you’ll want to book early.

Second on the list is Hitchin Lavender in Ickleford, Hertfordshire, praised for its panoramic views and pick-your-own lavender experience. With a 4.5-star average on Google Reviews and over 26,000 Instagram fans, this field is a firm favourite. Entry is priced at £8.50 for adults, £6.50 for children, and family tickets are available for £24.

In my view, taking a day to visit one of the lavender fields on our list is a true act of self-care. After a walk through a breathtaking sea of purple, I suspect you’ll leave feeling calm, relaxed, and instantly happier.”
