Lemar Visits Students At Academy Of Contemporary Music

Lemar provided students with invaluable advice on how to succeed in the music industry.

Students at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) probably couldn’t be happier after receiving a very special visit from singer Lemar on Thursday, January 31. The award-winning songster, who is currently celebrating a decade of success in music having notched up seven top ten singles and more than two million album sales, performed an exclusive from his latest album Invincible.

The students then had the opportunity to talk with Lemar about his career, along with receiving one-to-one advice on how to make it in the music industry. ACM, which prides itself for its world-class music industry education was recently described by The Sunday Times as “changing the face of music tuition”.

Lemar decided to make the surprise visit after learning that one of his backing singers, Jono McNeil – is also a tutor at the academy. Speaking about his visit, the former Fame Academy runner-up said: “This facility is amazing, if I was beginning my career I would definitely start here, if my children decide music is the path that they would like to take, then I want them to enrol in ACM.”

ACM’s Chief Executive Julia Leggett was enthused that Lemar took the time out of his  schedule to attend. She said: “It is so wonderful that Lemar has taken time out of his busy schedule to visit ACM and share with the student’s insights and experiences of his fascinating career.”
