Major League DJz are taking the Balcony Mix outside. The South African electronic music duo — one of the most influential forces in Afro house and Amapiano globally — will headline the first-ever Labyrinth Block Party, taking place at a secret East London location on 14th June 2026.
For those unfamiliar: Major League DJz, made up of brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere, built their name through the Balcony Mix series — a set of rooftop and outdoor DJ sets filmed in Johannesburg that became a cultural phenomenon. Tens of millions of streams later, the format has become synonymous with their sound: Afro-tech, Amapiano, and the raw energy of contemporary African electronic music.
A New Chapter for Labyrinth
Labyrinth is behind the event, and this marks their first outdoor, street-level format. The block party concept fits naturally with Major League DJz’s DNA — immersive, high-energy, rooted in community and movement rather than formal club structures.
The duo have spent recent years building a genuinely global footprint through platforms including Balcony Mix Africa, Piano City, and their forward-thinking label Untitled Audio. They’ve headlined festivals and venues across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. This East London show is another step in that trajectory.
